Jaimme D. Caiced was born in Bogota, Colombia on July 10, 1926. He studied in France & earned his degree of Master’s of Fine Arts at the L’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. In 1956 he continued his postgraduate work at the Academy of Visual Arts in Paris. His paintings include three portraits of US presidents exhibited in the White House in Washington DC. He also has various works in the private collection of Jacqueline Kennedy, The Rockefeller Collection, & The Vatican Collection.
His work is the crystallization of the constant search for the meaning of life across cultural boundaries and economic levels and the parallel quest for the essence of the universe in the vastness of space and the continuum of time.
